Should Dexter Have a Dog Park?
Dexter Village Parks & Recreation Commission seeks public feedback on a possible dog park.
The Village of Dexter wants your feedback. Officials with the Parks and Recreation Department posted a question on the village's Facebook page this week to gauge public interest in a fenced in off-leash dog area possibly on Dan Hoey Road. The village is inviting residents to post comments and provide additional feedback. Heather Meloche wrote, "I would love that." The comments were echoed by Amy Vimawala, who wrote, "Many people walk their dogs and take them off leash on the schools campus. This would be a great and safer alternative!" Mike Cipolla wrote, "This is a great idea. I have used these parks in the past. Wonderful way to bring dog lovers together." What's your opinion? Would you like to see a dog park in Dexter? The more I research, the more I am convinced this is a great idea for Dexter.
