The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is urging residents to exercise caution to protect their property in the Village of Dexter. On Aug. 20, a resident in the 8000 block of Sandfield Court reported hearing the doorbell to the home ring several times. When the homeowner did not respond, unknown suspects attempted to gain entry through a door wall. Anyone with information about the incident is being asked to call the sheriff's tip line at 734-973-7711 or Deputy Ballard at 734-971-8400, Ext. 67447.
Unknown suspects took videogames and DVDs from a home on North Territorial Road on Saturday.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is investigating a home burglary that occurred on Saturday in Dexter Township. Deputies were dispatched to a residence located near the 11000 block of North Territorial Road. According to a press release from the sheriff, unknown suspects entered the home through an unlocked window at the rear of the house and removed 50 to 60 videogames and DVDs. Sgt. Keith Flores is encouraging residents to lock their homes and vehicles due to recent larcenies in the area. On Friday, items were removed from vehicles parked near the 7000 block of Dexter-Ann Arbor Road, the 3000 block of Edison Street and the 7000 block of Third Street in the Village of Dexter.
