SCIO TWP. — The search for a new home for dozens of homeless Washtenaw County residents is underway. According to Ann Arbor.com, plans are progessing to establish a new location for the former Camp Take Notice, a homeless tent community on Wagner Road in Scio Township. On June 24, Camp Take Notice was ordered to close, leaving roughly 70 people without a place to live. Of those 70, about 40 people had been given one-year rent subsidies through the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, according to Ann Arbor.com. Three locations — one inside city borders and two outside Ann Arbor city limits — are being discussed as potential places for the new camp. Read the complete story on Ann Arbor.com.
