Dexter Village Receives Transportation Economic Development Fund Grant
The $200,000 grant will be used to reconstruct Central Street from Second to Third Street in the village beginning in 2014.
The Michigan Department of Transportation has allocated $200,000 to the Village of Dexter to assist with the village's rehabilitation of Central Street. According to a press release from MDOT, the village was one of nine municipalites to receive "Category F" funding in order to rehabilitate Central Street from Second Street to Third Street. Category F funding is intended to expand or preserve all-season roads on commercial routes in the urban areas of rural counties.
