Rep. Walberg Nominates Dexter/Chelsea Students to U.S. Military Service Academies

The students will be considered for the 2017 class at West Point, U.S. Air Force Academy, and U.S. Naval Academy.

U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg, R-District 7, nominated 20 students from Michigan for appointment to U.S. service academies. The nominees will now be considered for the 2017 class at West Point, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy. “It’s a privilege to nominate such bright and driven students to our country’s top military academies. There they will be challenged mentally and physically, but I am confident in their ability to continue making us proud and one day join our nation’s finest servicemen and women. I wish them the best in all their endeavors,” Walberg said. Among the nominees were Dexter High School senior Nathaniel Mellifont for West Point, and DHS senior Paul Ruble for the U.S. Naval Academy. …
