Village of Dexter Renews Three-Year Contract with Waste Management
Fees for recycling and trash pick-up will not increase in 2013.
The village of Dexter has renewed its contract with Waste Management for refuse and recycle services through 2016. According to information provided by the village, residents will not see a change in service or an increase in fees for the first year. The Dexter Village Council approved the contract renewal on Monday, with a 1 percent fee increase in 2014, and a 2 percent increase in 2016. Currently residents pay $13.39 a month for weekly trash, recycling, and yard waste pickup. That number will increase to $13.52 on March 1, 2014, and $13.79 on March 1, 2016.
