Hello, and welcome to Dexter Patch, a new interactive daily online news site devoted to all things Dexter. For those who don't know, I'm Daniel Lai, the local editor for the community. During the past several weeks, you've probably seen me wandering around town, camera in hand, snapping away at buildings, people and places. For those who were wondering, "Who is that crazy guy running across Main Street with no coat on in 25-degree weather," this welcome editorial may give you a better sense about me and how I plan to serve the community. Before joining Patch, I worked for 3 1/2 years for Heritage Newspapers covering the communities of Manchester and later Chelsea and Dexter.
